Welcome 8th Grade Parents & Students to the 2021-2022 school year!

We would like introduce you to Aryanne Nicastro-Co-Vice President of the GMRSD PTO as your own personal 8th Grade Liaison, she is here to assist with collaborating and creating fundraising ideas with you.  She will be your personal ‘point-of-contact’ when you need her.

 We have decided to implement 8th Grade Meetings so we can all stay on track with fundraising as well as our Year-End Events!  You can check out more information below! 

Please be advised the 8th Grade Meetings are not associated with the regular scheduled PTO Meetings.


~ MEETING DATES/TIMES ~

Monday, September 13, 2021 @ 6:30pm – Intro., Year-End Expectations, and more.

Monday, December 13, 2021 @ 6:30pm – Fundraising Updates, Budget, and more.

Monday, March 14, 2022 @ 6:30pm – Final Budget, Year-End Planning, and more.

Our goal is to meet in person at the GMMS Media Center, however if the building is closed due to any reason, meetings will be conducted online via Google Meet

~ FUNDRAISING ~

We have already kicked off a few fundraisers for the beginning of the year.  Be sure to watch for the flyers or form needed to make these fundraiser happen.

~ YEAR-END EVENTS EXPECTATIONS ~

As the previous school year has been a difficult one, to say the least, we are hoping to have a somewhat normal expectation for the Year-End Celebrations.

As COVID-19 information is key again this year.  We will continue to post as many updates regarding the events status, whether we have to cancel or postpone said event.  The safety of the students, parents, staff, and administration are our upmost importance.

8th Grade Trip, June 1st-3rd, Washington D.C. (Tentative)

8th Grade Dance, June 10th at 5:00pm-8:00pm, GMMS (Tentative)

8th Grade Picnic Celebration, June 17th, GMMS (Tentative)

We will continue to fill in the above locations and dates once provided.


~ HOW YOU CAN HELP ~

Friends, Families, you name it, can help with one simple 'Click'

Donate directly to the 8th Grade Year-End Events below.  All contributions will help to lower their Year-End total.

A Message from our Superintendent!

The GMRSD PTO provides tremendous opportunities for the students and teachers in Great Meadows. Teacher grants allow for staff to access resources that are not otherwise available. Fundraisers go directly to student activities. Our schools' partnership with the GMRSD PTO is an invaluable one. Please participate where you can and be a part of enhancing your child's educational experience.
